Mia has been practicing psychotherapy in The Roaring Fork Valley since 1997 and has been in the mental health field for over 25 years. She earned a BA in Psychology from Lake Forest College and graduated from University of Colorado with an MA in Counseling Psychology. She is also a Licensed Professional Counselor in the the state of Colorado. Her professional work experience includes a variety of settings such as: residential treatment centers, psychiatric hospitals, residential substance abuse programs, and outpatient mental health centers. She also worked as an Early Childhood Consultant in Pitkin County for 16 years. In 2006 Mia opened her private counseling practice in Basalt, CO so she could easily serve clients from up and down the Roaring Fork Valley. “I can honestly say that I love what I do for a living! I’m grateful to be able to accompany incredible people on journeys about self discovery and creating more contentment in their lives”, says Mia.
When she’s not in the office you’ll find her enjoying adventures with her husband and daughter. Her personal interests include: live music, being outside, yoga, skiing, road trips, camping, audible books, spending time with family & friends, and traveling to far corners of the world.
